We are seeking a qualified Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for a full-time position to assume a pivotal role in supporting our federal government client. This opportunity is intended for a United States (U.S.) citizen possessing a background in business process and system analysis, with a desire to optimize and impact significant government projects.
As a client facing professional, your responsibilities will include collaborating with key stakeholders and supporting secure cloud projects that align with client objectives and regulations. Your insights will play a crucial role in deploying and operationalizing capabilities for clients.

Our Key Requirement:
- Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Public Trust U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as this work is for a federal government client. Candidates will need to successfully complete a Background Investigation (BI) and credit check prior to beginning work. Nothing in applicants’ history should prevent them from obtaining a public trust security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is someone who was born in the US or obtained citizenship through naturalization that the government will verify. The government has excluded non-citizen nationals, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), refugees, or those on temporary visas.
- MUST RESIDE in the U.S. and work MUST BE PERFORMED in the U.S.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead engagements with stakeholders to document and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with client objectives and compliance standards. Interface with government officials to ensure that all regulatory and business requirements are met. Facilitate requirement gathering sessions and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on project scope and goals.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process and system improvements to enhance business operations and efficiency. Utilize expertise in analyzing existing processes and proposing optimizations to streamline workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
- Data Visualization: Develop and maintain data visualizations using tools such as R, Tableau, and Power BI to support decision-making and present complex data in an accessible format to stakeholders.
- Technical Liaison: Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions. Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation and testing of these solutions. Work closely with developers to refine and iterate on functionality during the development process.
- Living Documentation and Analysis: Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications to guide the development team in a living knowledge repository. Develop comprehensive business requirement documents and process flow diagrams to communicate needs effectively. Analyze business processes and requirements to support the development and refinement of program epics and user stories.
- Problem Resolution: Partner with design and technology teams to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions. Drive actions to resolution, ensuring that developed solutions meet the specified requirements and business needs.
- Agile Team Collaboration: Actively contribute to Agile project teams, supporting project deliverables and participating in DevSecOps initiatives. Ensure understanding and consistency of cross-product functionality by collaborating with Business Analysts on other products.
Your Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business and System Analyst, with direct experience working in Agile teams and DevSecOps environments. Experience in facilitating requirement gathering, conducting research, and developing business requirement documentation. Leadership experience, especially in guiding cross-functional teams, is a plus. Familiarity with government processes and regulations, particularly with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
- Analysis and Delivery: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience creating epics, user stories and acceptance criteria in living knowledge repository. Proficiency with productivity tools such as Confluence, Jira, Excel and PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as R, Tableau, and Power BI. Ability to interface with stakeholders and manage stakeholder engagements effectively. Experience leading teams and collaborating with development teams is a plus.
- Innovative Problem Solving and Product Management: A forward-thinking approach to problem-solving, constantly seeking process improvements and providing unique solutions to complex challenges. Exceptional project management capabilities, managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously with innovative approaches.
- Dynamic Teamwork and Agile Practices: Strong teamwork and communication skills, understanding agile software engineering principles and best practices to foster effective collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Preferred: Preference for candidates with government sector experience, especially with DHS, and holding current public trust clearance.
